Winemaker's Tasting Notes
The eye-catching, light yellow 2022 ‘Mon Plaisir’ leaps from the glass with a blend of vanilla cream, brioche, lemon curd and jasmine accented with hints of nougat, orange zest and baking spices. The plush entry is followed by a round, broad, creamy mid-palate with ample gras and a balanced level of acid which provides tension to this classic expression of ‘Mon Plaisir’.

"I tasted the 2022 Chardonnay Mon Plaisir from tank shortly before it was due to be bottled. It's still coming together, and its core of stone fruit is accented by youthful crème brûlée, meringue, toast, matchstick and jasmine on the nose. The medium-bodied palate has a coiled core of flinty fruit, but its chiseled acidity and luxuriously satiny texture point to an inherently powerful wine yet to fully unfold. 597 cases will be made, and the Mon Plaisir will be released in July of 2024." - Erin Brooks, robertparker.com (Feb 29, 2024)
