A barrel sample due to be bottled in February, this label comes from the Pisoni vineyard in Santa Lucia Highlands. Medium to deep ruby-purple in color, the 2018 Pinot Noir Le Moulin Rouge explodes from the glass with an incredibly floral perfume of violets and rose oil over a core of lifted red and black cherries, ripe raspberries and chocolate-covered cranberries plus a touch of fertile loam. Medium-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with mouth-coating red and black berry layers, framed by plush tannins, finishing long and fragrant. 500 cases were made.
